What is it?
Every year the Civic Association offers two scholarships.
4 year Scholarship - $200 paid each year for a total of $800
Available to student attending a 4 year College.
2 year Scholarship - $100 paid each year for a total of $200
Available to student attending 2 year College or Vocational School |
Who is eligible?
The applicant must be a senior at either a Public or Private High School.
They must be attending a two or four year College or Vocational School this fall.
Their parent or legal guardian must have been a member in good standing of the Ryal Side Civic Association for the
last three consecutive years. |
How do I apply?
Applications are accepted in March and April only.
To apply, the parent or guardian should fill out and sign the application form. Be sure to include all the necessary
information so we can verify that you qualify.

How are the winners picked?
Winners are picked by two random drawings held on June 1st, one for the 4 year scholarship and one for the 2 year
scholarship.
Winners will be contacted by the Civic Association. The names of the winners will also be posted on the website
www.ryalside.us and printed in the June Newsletter. |
What else do I need to know?
The payment of all scholarships, past and present, will occur after the first semester of each year.
Recipients must provide verification of attending a two or four year College or Vocational School each year before
receiving payment. In the event this verification is not provided by May 1st, the award is forfeited. If this happens
to a first year recipient, a new winner will be picked from those not selected in the June drawing. |
